F&S Ignites the Next Stage of Edge AI
As demand for intelligent and autonomous systems continues to grow, so does the need for powerful AI processing directly at the device – without cloud dependency, without latency, and with full data sovereignty. F&S Elektronik Systeme is now taking Edge AI performance to the next level.
Today, many F&S modules already provide integrated AI acceleration through the NPUs of modern NXP processors such as the i.MX 8M Plus, i.MX 93 und i.MX 95. These platforms enable efficient machine-learning inference directly on embedded systems and form the foundation for a wide range of industrial and medical applications.
With the integration of the NXP Ara2 AI-Beschleunigers, F&S is now taking a decisive step forward.
The Ara-2 delivers up to 40 TOPS of AI performance, enabling embedded systems to handle a new class of demanding Edge AI inference workloads. This allows significantly more complex neural networks and multiple AI workloads to run in parallel directly at the edge – efficiently and without reliance on cloud infrastructure.
F&S integrates this technology across multiple platforms:
- M.2 AI accelerator modules with NXP Ara2 for flexible expansion of existing systems
- SMARC modules based on the NXP i.MX 95 with integrated Ara2 acceleration for maximum Edge AI performance
By combining powerful embedded processors with dedicated AI acceleration, F&S offers a scalable platform for demanding AI applications.
