Buildroot und Yocto

Das Linux-BSP "fsimx6ul-B2023.12" basiert auf Buildroot, einer Software zur Erstellung von Root-Filesystemen. Über Buildroot können menügesteuert ca. 1400 verschiedene Softwarepakete dem Root-Filesystem hinzugefügt werden. Der Funktionsumfang reicht hier von einfachen Bibliotheken und Utilities über eine komplette Java-Umgebung bis hin zu vollständigen grafischen Umgebungen wie Qt oder Wayland/Weston, inklusive Applikationen wie z.B. einem HTML5-fähigen Webbrowser. Auf diese Weise lässt sich sehr einfach ein maßgeschneidertes Linux-System zusammenstellen.

Alternativ zu Buildroot gibt es auch eine Yocto-basierte Umgebung. Wir bieten das Linux BSP "fsimx6ul-Y2024.03" an, das auf Yocto basiert.

Unsere Standardkonfiguration, die einen ersten Eindruck vom Funktionsumfang der Baugruppe geben soll, enthält unter anderem folgende Features: Busybox, gdb, alsa-utils, gstreamer, ewston-wayland, feh, feh, openssl, openssh, ncurses, can-utils, iproute2, ftpd, httpd, telnet, tftp, u.v.m.

Beide BSPs beinhalten die von F&S angepassten Quelltextpakete von U-Boot (2021.04), Linux-Kernel (basierend auf 5.15.131/5.15.148) und Buildroot (2023.02.06) oder Yocto (4.0). Außerdem ist unsere Cross-Toolchain beigefügt, einige Beispielsapplikationen, sowie alle Binaries in der Standardkonfiguration. Und nicht zuletzt sind ausführliche Dokumente zur Hardware enthalten sowie die First-Steps-Dokumentation für den leichten Einstieg.

F&S bietet auch eine Virtuelle Maschine (basierend auf VirtualBox) mit einem installierten Linux basierend auf der Distribution Fedora 36 zum kostenlosen Download an. Alle zum Übersetzen unserer Software notwendigen Pakete sind bereits installiert. Ebenfalls sind alle Services (NFS, TFTP) zum Arbeiten mit unseren Boards installiert. Unser BSP liegt ausgepackt und vorkompiliert in den richtigen Verzeichnissen. Mit dieser virtuellen Maschine spielt es keine Rolle ob sie als Host Windows oder Linux verwenden. Einfach die VHD downloaden, in VirtualBox importieren und die Entwicklung kann sofort beginnen.

Zum schnellen Einstieg in die Entwicklung mit Linux stellen wir zwei virtuellen Festplatten VHDs zum Download bereit. Eine VHD stellt die Entwicklungsumgebung für alle Boards mit 32 bit CPU bereit, die andere die Entwicklungsumgebung für alle auf 64bit CPU basierenden Boards. Beide VHDs verwenden Fedora 27 als Linux Distribution.

Mit dieser Maschine können Sie mit Ihrer Entwicklung in weniger als einer Stunde beginnen.

VirtualBox ist ein leistungsstarkes Produkt für Firmenkunden und gleichzeitig auch die einzige professionelle Lösung, welche als Open Source Software unter den Bedingungen der GNU General Public License Version 2 frei erhältlich ist.
Die F&S Development Machine enthält vorinstallierte Board Support Packages für fsimx6, fsimx6sx, fsimx6ul und fsimx7ulp (32 bit CPU) oder fsimx8mm (64 bit CPU).
In der HVD ist die passende F&S Toolchain installiert, der Source Code ist extrahiert und gebrauchsfertig.
Erforderliche System Packages und notwendige Tools sind ebenfalls bereits installiert.
Des weiteren enthält es eine konfigurierte Umgebung für QT Entwicklung (QT5) mit Cross-Compile/ Debug Kit, Deployment Strategy und Demoapplikation.

Windows Embedded Compact 2013

The highly flexible and real-time operating system has kernel, interface drivers and bootloader. It benefits from all the features of a modern CPU, such as ARMv7 THUMB2 command structure or NEON co-processor.
Complete images and the BSP are available in our download area.
Development is done with the latest Microsoft tools like Visual Studio 2015 (C, C++, C# or VB.NET) and Expression Blend 5.
Interfaces like I²C, CAN or SPI can be used in the same way like a RS232 interface.
XAML for Windows Embedded helps to separate visualisation and program the easy way.

Robust Module

Many applications in the industrial and medical area demand for a high-performance module to control displays, to connect controlling elements (touch panel, key panel, incremental encoder,...) and to communicate via modern interfaces (Ethernet, USB,CAN, ...).

A special feature of this product family is the possibility to use a simple base board. The NetDCUA5 can be used easily as an upgrade for NetDCU8/10, NetDCUA5 and NetDCUA9.

Long Term Availability

This NXP Processor i.MX6ULL is available for a minimum of 10 years.

  

The board is equipped with up to 1GB RAM and up to 512MB SLC NAND flash or 8GB eMMC. 

Various Interfaces

The module can be set up with an additional SD-Card.
The NetDCUA7 offers interfaces like USB Host/ Device, 2x LAN, RS232, 2x CAN, SPI, I²C and Audio (IN/ OUT/ MIC).

Additionally, a display interface with 86Bit colors via TTL RGB is available.

There is an interface for the connection of a resisitive touch panel and capacitive touch panels are connected via I²C.
