F&S follows a consistent, long-term board strategy: all our module families are based on standardized interfaces, harmonized form factors, and a unified software concept. This enables projects to scale flexibly – from ultra-compact OSM and PicoCore modules to powerful efus and SMARC variants. A key goal of our development is compatibility across processor generations – both on the hardware and software level. Your existing application runs on newer modules with minimal adjustments. This ensures that your overall system remains functionally identical and easy to maintain, even when the underlying CPU technology changes.
This consistent platform strategy reduces development effort and risk, accelerates time-to-market, and secures your investment in the long term – perfectly suited for applications with long life cycles in industry, medical technology, transportation, and infrastructure..

For more than 30 years, F&S has stood for quality, stability, and continuity in the embedded sector. With the F&S Project Guarantee, we support you throughout the entire product life cycle – from the initial concept to series production and far beyond.
We guarantee long-term availability of at least 15 years as well as documented and transparent change management processes (PCN and EOL). Long-term stability is also ensured on the software side: our maintained Board Support Packages (BSPs) and operating system images remain compatible for many years and are continuously updated. This ensures your project stays fully operational even with software updates or platform transitions.

The efus™ standard has a size of 47 x 62mm only. It is equipped with finger-type contacts for a common 230 on MXM2 edge connector (inexpensive and certified for automotive). The PicoCOM form factor has a size of 40x50mm, is extremely compact and low-priced. It has a reliable 80pol SMD connector and 3.3V single supply. Only a simple base board is necessary additionally. The base board only needs driver components (RS232, RS485, CAN, Ethernet transformer) and bushes. The product range goes from ARM9-240MHz up to Cortex-A9 - 1GHz. The PicoMOD standard has a size of 50x80mm (credit card sized), a reliable 140pol SMD connector, 3.3V single supply and only a (simple) base board is necessary additionally. On the base board only the driver components (RS232, RS458, CAN, Ethernet transformer) and the bushes are missing. The current product range goes from ARM9-400MHz up to Cortex-A9 - 1GHz. The NetDCU standard has a size of 80x100mm, including easy and robust 2.54mm connectors and 5V single supply. Only a very simple base board is needed additionally. Even the driver components for RS232, buffer for display signals and the Ethernet transformer are already available. The product range goes from Cortex-A5 - 500MHz to Cortex-A9 - 1GHz.
