Computer on Module with NXP i.MX RT1050

Another member of the compact PicoCore™ Computer On Module product family is offered with the NXP i.MX RT1050 CPU.
The size of only 35 x 40mm allows the use in compact housings.
This Computer On Module is the perfect solution for portable devices in industrial technology and also for all cost-sensitive applications with TFT display.

Crossover Processor

The i.MX RT1050 is the industry's first crossover processor, combining the high performance and high level of integration of an application processor with the ease of use and real-time functionality of a microcontroller. It uses a NXP i.MX RT1050 ARM® Cortex®-M7 CPU with up to 600MHz.

Long-term availability up to 2031

Another characteristic is the long-term availability until minimum 2031.

Features and Interfaces

SDRAM is available as internal working memory and SPI NOR/NAND Flash (high reliability) is offered for the program memory.
An external SD card slot is also possible.

 

The two 80-pin connectors (1.5-4mm board-to-board space) bring a variety of interfaces on the baseboard. This results in compact size and a small board-to-board distance.

The following interfaces are possible: 1x Ethernet, 2x USB, 2x CAN, 4x I2C, 2x SPI, 2x UART, Audio (Line In/ Out/ Mic/ Headphone or I2S), SDIO for SD-Card slot, PWM, GPIO and ADC.

A 16-bit RGB interface is provided as display connection and TFTs up to WXGA can be controlled. For the connection of a PCAP touch panel, one of the I2C interfaces is used.
RTC is also available.

The power supply is 5V, the power consumption is less than 1W (typ.) and the temperature range is 0°C - +70°C or -40°C - + 85°C.

Operating System

The operating system is FreeRTOS. It is already prepared for development.
We also offer customer-specific boards based on the i.MX RT1050 CPU.
