PicoCOM3 the latest small form factor format ARM11 Board
Used ARM11-533MHz CPU offers 2D/3D acceleration, FPU and a MPEG4 decoder.
PicoCOM3 is pin and function compatible within the complete PicoCOM board family and can therefore easily be replaced with PicoCOM2 or PicoCOM4. Carrier board and designed software does still run. By now, some competitors have adopted this concept from F&S Elektronik Systeme.

For the latest PicoCOM3 we offer WCE6.0R3 (VS.NET2005/2008) and Linux 2.6.37-rc2 (Buildroot). Bootloader, complete Kernel, interface drivers, SDK and BSP, as well as example programs and helpful tools, are at your service. Start developing right away with the available starter kit (EVAL Board with plugged PicoCOM3 and a 7 display with touch).
PicoCOM3 fits applications in portable devices perfectly, as well as a display and communication module for applications in industry and medical technology. Creating the graphic user interface is comfortable and quickly done with VS.NET or QT on Linux. Interfaces like USB (MemoryStick/ActivSync), Ethernet (FTP/HTTP/Telnet Server), Audio (VoIP/WAV/MP3) and CAN are available.
PicoCOM3 runs on a Samsung CPU with ARM11 core and 533MHz. 64MB Flash and 64MB RAM, as well as signals for 3x seriell, USB Host, USB device, I2C, SPI, I/O, Audio, CAN, Ethernet and SD/MMC-Card are available. In addition, PicoCOM3 holds a flexible display interface which is a characteristic of F&S Elektronik, as well as a touch controller. All common TFT displays from 320x240 (QVGA) up to 800x600 (SVGA) can be controlled. 3.3V supply the PicoCOM3. A robust 80pol plug connecter connects PicoCOM3 with a customer-specific carrier board.
Furthermore, F&S Elektronik offers a 4-hour workshop in Stuttgart (choose WCE or Linux) and setup a forum for online support for PicoMOD3 customers. (10 designing engineers by F&S Elektronik take care of the forum.)
